Did you use your swing right away? Should I have it set up?

Space is tight in my apt. I just received that rainforest swing in the mail yesterday. Should I go ahead and put it together? Do you put your newborn in it?

tia!

I put them in at a week old for a little bit, but had to hang a towel or balnket off of it to slow it down, it moved way to fast. I thought the boys would be launched out, LOL!

I would set it up-- I put Nikolas in the aquarium swing (which is similar to the 'rainforest' swing I believe) only a few days after he was home from the hospital! He loved it at first, then hated it for a few weeks.. now is back to loving it again (boys Chat Icon Chat Icon)

I did. I think my son was about one week old, I put it on the slowest speed. I don't know what I'm going to do when he grows out of it, he LOVES it!!

I put Katie in it right away - within a week anyway. I got the travel swing bc it takes up much less room.

I have the rainforest swing at my moms and Steven LOVES it! He has used both of his swings since 2 days after I brought him home. He loves them. I say set it up. Unfortunately, though, they don't really fold away. you can fold the legs in, but it is still as wide as the seat is. you can store it in a corner or something.

we used ours right away....we kept it in the kitchen since the pack n play was in the LR. IT was great when I would cook or we were eating and she'd just chill there (and fall asleep)

Re: Did you use your swing right away? Should I have it set up?

We have the rainforest one too and Lily really likes it. We've used it lots already. She is usually good in it for only like 10 minutes, but it gives me 10 minutes to do something. Every little bit helps.

Easier to set things up now then when the baby is here...plus you will get used to having it take up the space
