Did you used to think this website or LIW was weird?
...or that people who posted a lot were weird? I have to say, I totally did. I mean, I haven't been on LIW in quite some time, as I'm finally over looking at random people's wedding pictures...LOL, but I really like this site and love the celebrity gossip. I mean, I'm not on at night or weekends, but I love keeping this page open at work. Anyone else? I definitely think it's nice to keep in touch with people who got married around the same time as you or keep connected with people who you thought seemed great. I definitely used to post more...I've absolutely gotten away from it because ever since the Kate07 thing...I'm bugged out a little. But i have to say, I love seeing who is pregnant or ttc.

I don't know about WEIRD.. but I remember thinking that the chat boards were something that I would NEVER participate in. But then you ask a question... and suddenly they SUCK YOU IN!

it's so true....i remember thinking...wait, after people get married they go on the newlywed board?! that is SO silly! but then i was on it. hey, whatever. i came to learn that there's something to be said for sharing thoughts/experiences with people going through the same "new" things as you.

sooooo true
ive never even chatted on AOL or AIM or anything like that
so my family/friends would be VERY surprised to find out a talk on a chat board
and to answer your question lana, i dont think it weird but every once in a while it creeps me out to think of how many must just lurk and never post...you know
like what if someone became obsessed with a poster......

I call LIW and LIF a cult sometimes because Im always talking about it and its so addictive.
Im also a mom and aways take the girls' advice on raising my DD and always refer to this site as "my website". Like, "the girls on my website say this".
I love reading everyone's post and posting things. But boy does it get me in trouble at work.

my husband thinks its weird...makes fun of me sometimes. i only wish i had found out about LIW sooner than i did.
ETA: My dad thinks its funny too. i call LIF 'my bride site' b/c he doesn't get the difference between this and LIW.

We used an RE attorney based on a recommendation from here -- the attorney looked at me like I had three heads as I tried to explain how we heard of him.

i wish i knew about LIW when i got engaged, as it was, i didn't start going on until after i had already planned everything!
now i try to go on LIW once in a while but i'm just not into it anymore now that my wedding is over. if i do go on, it's usually the newlywed board, but i sometimes don't even feel like a newlywed b/c DH and i lived together for so long before we got married.
i am on here way more than i should be and i never thought it was weird at all. i love the people i've "met" on LIF!!

i usually just say, "i read/heard online..." when talking to me mom or DH about this site, b/c they think i'm weird for going on all the time!

Yeah, until I realized what a wealth of information and support this community was. I love sharing parenting tips to other new moms - they look at me like how does she know so much, LOL. And sometimes I feel weird telling them oh I saw it on my website - but the truth is LIF rocks!!

on the other hand, so many people are on my space and I have never been, nor do I have a page...so maybe this is just normal and the way technology is moving! Um....yeah. And it certainly helps brighten the day at work. I love hearing crazy coworker stories.

Well- If it weren't for LIW, I would have lost my mind throughout my wedding planning process.
If it weren't for LIF, I wouldn't be able to make it through my days at work, so besides those reasons, this site has been my outlet for so many things.

mine too. But I have to say, I've gotten tickets sold, learned some interesting facts and generally laughed my butt off on here. One time we were at an open house and this girl totally recognized me from here; she happened to be at the OH, too...and man, DH teased me like there was no tomorrow. So no more pictures! LOL!

now that i signed up for LIF.. its becoming an addiction as well!
