Did your cycle change?
Sorry for all the newbie questions. But when you started taking your drugs, did your cycle change? I have been taking glucophage (metformin) for 5 weeks now and technically I am late (I don't think I am preggo, I have no symptons and don't really ovulate). Is this common? For my cycle to be longer now?

Re: Did your cycle change?
I never took Metformin, so I wouldn't know. If I were you, I would test... a lot of people get PG just from taking the Metformin.

Re: Did your cycle change?
Sometimes it takes some time for your body to get use to the Metformin. My first month taking it I O'd, however after that I didn't take the right dosage and didn't O normally. I'm hoping your late because your PG. Why don't you test?

I don't know. I am nervous and don't want to get my hopes up. I told myself to hold out till Friday.

Re: Did your cycle change?
My first 2 cycles I didn't ovulate but my third cycle I was 2 days late when af came. I was told it can take up to six cycles for your body to adjust but some women do get preggo right away. I hope you are one of them

Re: Did your cycle change?
Previously, my cycles were 35-38. I was on metformin for 3 months when I saw a 28 day cycle. However, I am just finishing a cycle and this time it was 32 days. But, I just had surgery to remove my fibroids and that week of my surgery, I didn't take metformin because I didn't want to feel weak. So who knows if that week of not taking the meds threw off my cycle. I will be monitoring the next few cycles.
I have read that it could take up to 3 months of taking metformin before you will notice any changes.

My cycles didn't really change at all. Good luck!
