Did your DH or SO do something that suprised you on V-day?

my dh did!
we live on a second floor in an apartment. when i opened the door to go upstairs, there were rose petals scattered going up the stairs. when i got into the apartment there were a dozen long stem red roses in my favorite lenox vase on the kitchen table. he was cooking also! rigatoni with shrimp and clams with a garlic/butter sauce. it was soooo good! this is a lot for my DH to do. for you guys that saw my posts, my DH had a partially cancerous brain tumor removed last year and had radiation and will be on chemo until this september. he hasn't been working since. so what he did tonight was a big deal!

i love him!

My SO and I don't live together, so we aren't going to see each other today...
and usually he gets me roses sent to work, but I didn't get any this year

Maybe he will make up for it tomorrow... he said he would.

Jen, that is so great of your DH!

Mine planned to get an early train and surprise me - well surprise, his line was cancelled and instead I had to pick him up in Hicksville!! But he got me roses and then....took me to dinner where we got engaged exactly 3 years ago today.

We went to Teller's for dinner.

He bought me a new Vera Bradley bag with a matching wallet



Inside the wallet he put a note stating that he reserved a cottage in Pennsylvania at my favorite place for 2 nights over the summer.

He also came into the room last night reading a cookbook . . . . another surprise he had for me- a cookbook autographed by my boyfriend, Bobby Flay

DH went to Nordstrom on his lunch break and bought me a set of Mario Badescu facial products. He knows how much I love this line of products. He is so thoughtful - even though they all have to go back since they're for the wrong skin kind

but it is the thought that counts

DH went above and beyond!! He is on a business-related trip this week and apparrently, he called up one of my co-workers last week to enlist her help in "playing Cupid." Dropped my present off at her house last weekend and when I got into work yesterday - 40 minutes late and flustered b/c of car problems - there was a beautifully wrapped package from our jewelers sitting on my desk with cards in DH's handwriting. I was i found out the whole story later on obviously. I got a beautiful pink sapphire, diamond, and white gold bracelet - have to take a pic.

He rocked my world!

My Dh got me this necklace. I was very impressed. He also bought me chocolate from our boys and some scratch-off tickets (a must) and a nice card from him and our sons.

Aww, that was so sweet of him!! I spent half the day in the hospital yesterday because of a stomach virus. However, DH got me a pair of diamond stud earrings, Treo 700 wx, and 3 dozen long stemmed roses.

I am doing ok now. I was vomitting alot with diarrhea (sorry for tmi) and I was dehyrdated because I could not keep anything down. I was crying and worried for the baby but the baby is quite fine. It was a miserable day for me yesterday.

Don't you love it when they surprise you?!?!?

When i walked into our house yesterday, there was a single rose, a card and an envelope that read 1 on it. In the envelope was a reason why he loved me and on the bottom was a personal clue as to where the next envelope was in the house. There were 7 envelopes i believe. Then when i got to the last clue, which lead to our bathroom... there was our jacuzzi filled with water and rose petals. And after our bath , he surprised me by making his homemade chinese food (sesame chicken and pot stickers)! He even got dressed up for dinner.

Oh and he did all the laundry and cleaned. Can't forget that!

he told me a month a ago not take make plans f or may. he said i would need a day off from work. we said that we're not going to go away this yr since we want to save for a house. in the card he said where is one place that i want to be THIS mother's day. he gives me another envelope, he's taking me to see my parents in florida!! he knows that it will be a hard mother's day...the first one without my granmother. he even called my mom to see if they had plans before he booked the trip. she said, if they had plans they would break them

DH brought DS into out room in the morning and DS was holding my card and he seemed so proud and I might add that he wasn't chewing it . Then when he came home (we dont exchange anything I dont want him to buy me overpriced flowers) he rang the doorbell so I opened it and he got me a dozen long stem roses. The last time I got that was when we got enganged so I was quit surprised and I love flowers.

DH and I just cuddled on the couch under one blanket and exchanged cards (he bought me a perfect cute one with Lady and the Tramp on the front cause he knows that's my fav. movie!). Our new house was our gift.
