I have been trying the south beach diet for almost a week now, and i have to say that it is not sooooo bad, you can eat food.
There is alot of planning, but I have not been starving, I miss my wine, but I can sacrifice a glass or two for 2 weeks.
I am now just starting to see some weight loss, and it takes alot for me to lose at all.
I am doing it with some people on my job who are alot heavier, and they are losing, too.

Atkins induction is probably your best bet for initial fast weight loss and to jump start it.
