Different Color Walls

We are finishing up our dining room and are almost ready to paint it.

I plan on doing it a cranberry color.

I was thinking of only painting 2 walls cranberry and leaving the other two light. Has anyone done anything like this?

How does it look?

Now my dining room is attached to the main hallway. What color does the hallway become?

Any pics would be great!!

Re: Different Color Walls

my bedroom has taupe walls and a cranberry ceiliing (it was a trading spaces phase) but it looks pretty cool - my sister has different color walls in her house - but she doesnt have a hallway - I would paint the hallway the light color you have on the walls in the DR>

I would do only one wall cranberry and make that your fofcul point wall and then do the other color on your other 3 walls.

Re: Different Color Walls

I did 2.5 walls dark brown (it was a half wall that blocked the kitchen) and the other wall was a beigey color that led into the hallway - and I continued to use that color up the stairs and in the hallway
