Diffrence between 2 1/2 year old and 3 yr old

Okay moms of 2 or more. Is there a huge diffrence between a 2 1/2 year old and a 3 year old?

I am talking about maturity, independence, jealousy issues etc etc.

I have one child - 21mths and we are starting to "plan" for our next. Part of me wants to wait to give DD more along time but part of me is aware of the tick tock.

I woudlnt be waiting for a very long time only 6 months or so. Choice 1 would have me giving birth when DD is over 2 1/2 and Choice 2 she would be a little over 3.

Would either of the situations be easier for all of us - DD to adjust, me to deal with a newborn and a toddler.

Any advice?

TIA

Of course with an older older child its a little easier because they are more independent but it really depends on the child. My kids are 2 1/2 and 2 years apart and it was a little harder with the 2 years but nothing I couldn't handle. If you are ready go for it. There is nothing better than watching your children interact with each other (when they arent fighting of courseChat Icon )

There is a difference in maturity & more, importantly for me, memory.

I don't remember things that happened when I was 2. I remember things that happened when I was 3. For that reason, I'd opt for having a baby earlier because the transition isn't as difficult, in terms of DD dealing with jealousy. Also I like the idea of having them in a school for a few years more.

I'm biased having them close together since it was what we planned, what we did & what worked for me.

Whatever decision you make, it won't make a difference. You'll love what you get.
