Digestive problems
Anyone have problems digesting their food? Meaning constant heartburn, feeling like any food you have eaten will not digest at all to the point where your stomach is just in pain and discomfort?
Do you take anything? If so what?

Re: Digestive problems
I would go to the doc. Try to identify the problem before you self medicate.
I hope you feel better soon!

Re: Digestive problems
actually, yes - in early stages of eating disorder recovery i was having problems with digestion - i would try to eat but feel full all day from half a sandwich.
my nutritionist had me taking a Digestive Enzyme after each meal - it helped. you can find them any place that sells vitamins

Re: Digestive problems
i would also recommend the digestive enzyme..my mother has similar issues and that's what the doctor told her to do..except he told her to take them before eating....tell your friend to talk to her pharmacist..maybe he/she can help too!
another suggestion, try acupuncture or someone in the holistic field...they often have herbs or alternative means to help!

Re: Digestive problems
My digestive problems were a direct result of bad habits and problem foods. I medicated for a while and got sick of it so I changed my ways and it's made a world of difference.
Problem foods (for me at least)
High acid foods such as tomatoes, orange juice, cranberries Gassy foods like broccoli Coffee
Breaking out of the mindset that I had to "clean my plate" was also something that I had to get used to. Eventually I restricted my portions so I could finish and not feel terrible afterwards.
Good luck to your friend!
