I have a Canon, got it for xmas last year and my MIL just bought a Canon. They make really good cameras.

I just got a Canon PowerShot SD780IS to replace an older model which I accidentally dropped in the ocean and banged up against some rocks ...  oops
I love it, it takes amazing pics, and the macro option makes every detail in closeups perfection.
I love cannon for user friendly digital cameras.
eta: it takes HD videos too

i had the sony cybershot but found with ds that it wasnt quick enough for me so i just purchased an olympus fe which does videos as well but takes a faster picture

we switched to a slightly more advanced camera last yr...canon g11

I have a digital Canon SLR and also a smaller point and shoot Sony Cybershot which takes videos too. Love them both!

I have a Nikon SLR but for my digital point and shoot I have the new Panasonic Lumix and it is AWESOME.
It has HD video, 12x optical zoom and 10MP. I can't say enough good things about it!
