Dilema about working till the end (need asap help)
Ok, so I posted this AM about the commute killing me and I'm 38.5 weeks. I just found out tonight that I'll probably be getting induced/or having a sked c-section some time next week (based off a sono & internal tomorrow).
Now, I was orignally going to work from home tomorrow but I can only do about 75% of my job accurately from home. Being Monday or Tuesday next week will probably be my last day of work, would you go in tomorrow? I have to go in Thurs & Friday & Monday due to my company switching floors. I would leave work early tomorrow for my sono anyway. I would only work till 330PM lets say.
I'm a big career gal (aka workaholic)so I know my judgement is not always the best. What would you do? Need answers asap because this determines if I go to bed right now.

because you are a workaholic - i would definitely go in....work until 3:30 - if anything - to show your company that you haven't changed at all (not that i know anything about your job or how they feel about it)...
i know for me - i'd rather do one last half day even just to show them that i was there until i no longer could be....
but i'm totally type A too....

no, I'll be working Friday & Monday (yes we are moving floors, but maintance is doing the actual moving). Our phones/comp stay the same until Monday AM when we come into our new floor and unpack. It will only take me maybe 2 hours to unpack.

I am the same way. workaholic and every time docs said i needed to stop i kept on going. I finally had to stop denying it and come out of work early. So i dont know what to say.. Part of me would say go and then be done but then the expectant mother in me says stay home good luck!

You are so close and if you didn't have the commute I would say do as much as you are comfortable with but with the stairs and subway etc, I think it would be best to stop. Why push it? You don't want to go into labor on the LIRR.
Do you have to go in to move your office? That seems like a lot of added stress.

its not too much. Half my cube is boxed up, I'll finish the rest tomorrow. Then I'll unpack Monday. I'm also curious as to my new cubby on the other floor. I can't wait 2 mos to see the new living quarters. hehe
