Diners, Drive Ins & Dives
anyone watch the show? i went to pit stop in merrick this weekend, it was on the show in january....it was really good, but i have to say the food looks better on tv for some reason??? i would love to take a trip around the country trying out all the places featured!

Love this show. I went to a place in North Tonowanda (near Niagra Falls) this weekend called Pizza Junction. Food was pretty good but now I want to see that episode.

DH and I tried a place near Ft Lauderdale, that they had featured, on our way to Key West and I wasn't really impressed.
When I was in MA visiting friends I suggested another restaurant that was on the show and they all told me it was a complete dive, the food was bad, and the inside was gross. Needless to say we didn't go there.
They do make the food look good.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food at Pit Stop has gone down in the last year. But their shakes are still good! I love that show, too, my son gets such a kick at the places we have been to that have been on the show.

really? that's too bad...i got the cuban which they featured on the show, it was tasty but the meat (and sandwich) was dry. i thought it was going to be better, but figured i built it up in my head since it was on TV!

We had wraps from Pit Stop, since BIL & SIL live around the corner from it. The sesame chicken wrap was awesome and so was the skirt steak wrap. Their french fries were just eh though. I missed the episode and it didnt DVR for some reason when it was on.
