Day 2- I would either do crystal palace before the park opens or a later breakfast seating, like 10/1030am. The lines are short when the park opens and that’s wasting it if you’re sitting down eating.
Day 5 - is chef Mickey brunch or breakfast? Are you getting to the park at rope drop and then cm will be your break?

i have boys, so i don't know much about BBB and how long the hairstyle lasts.... LOL but if i was paying for it, i would probably want a morning or early afternoon appointment, instead of at 5PM when they'll be sleeping on it/ possibly messing it up a couple hours later.... ya know?
I also agree about maybe finding an earlier crystal palace time, or a lunch time-- that 9AM-10:30/ 11 is really valuable ride time, when the parks are a little less crowded....
and with Chef Mickey, just make sure you give enough time to get out of the park and get to the contemporary in time.

Chef Mickey's is fun, but the food is terrible IMO, and I wouldn't waste a morning away from the park there. I would do dinner instead if that's an option.

Chef Mickey is not in MK so would you go and leave that early?

so 1st - I am unsure about the BBB at Disney Springs but the one in MK is always behind schedule (especially later in the day) so I wouldn't want such a close time for dinner reservation.
2nd - I would also try to get Crystal Palace earlier or later. It eats up a lot of time and 9:30 is prime time to try and get rides done without long lines.
3rd- Chef Mickey is not great. the food is terrible and since its at a hotel you it waste valuable park time.

I agree to get either an earlier or later Crystal Palace time and I would do Chef Mickey’s dinner instead for that evening.

I do dinners vs. breakfasts because I find the parks are less crowded at opening.

That's what we did. We also had the disney dining plan which covers two meals (a sit down and a quick service) each day so we figured breakfast was the cheapest usually and used the dining plan for lunch/dinner to get more bang for our buck. We actually had bagels, bread, cereal, frozen waffles delivered to our hotel from Garden Grocer and it was fantastic. We always had snacks and breakfast at the hotel room for DD.
The only breakfast we did was the princess breakfast at Akershus in Epcot but we had it for 8:30 AM on a day where the park didn't open til 9:00 AM. So we got out before most people got in. We walked onto the Frozen ride right after breakfast. And the princess breakfast was fabulous- one of the highlights of DD's trip!
ETA: I would probably do Rainforest Cafe a little later, too. If DD didn't love the animals so much I'd say skip it because the food was meh but she really enjoyed it.

I would definitely do Crystal Palace earlier or for lunch. You will be right in the middle of the best ride time at 9:30.
Chef Mickey's in my opinion is one of the worst restaurants in Disney. There are so many other restaurants to choose from, that I would skip that.
We have done BBB many times and personally, I think spending all that money and to do it so late and not even going to a park is a waste of money. The whole fun of it is to walk around all done up and everyone making a big fuss. I would try to move your appointment to another day.

really good suggestions from everyone! The reason we are doing BBB at 5pm the night we arrive is that we didn't have another day that we were going to the springs, and I was told to avoid MK for BBB but maybe i should just do it at MK on the day we will be there. Maybe I can get a morning appt for that. My original thought was to get it done around 5, ask them to make it as much like a helmet as they can (lol), and have it all done for MK the next morning
I am also going to look now into making the crystal palace a later meal.
Also to those who mentioned chef mickey: We have done CM in the past and i agree abt the food, but DD loves mickey, donald, and the whole gang. We just figured this was the best option to be able to see them all in one spot. Is there something I am missing that we could do instead?

I don't know who told you to avoid the MK BBB, but that is the BEST location. It's IN the castle, does it get any better?! Most people want to go there, not Disney Springs. I would try to switch!

thats probably why she's heard to avoid BBB in MK HAHAHA ... i've read that they can get backed up and super busy, because its the more "popular" one. the option my friend did with her daughter is the spa in Grand Floridian-- they did a princess style makeover for her daughter, and not as "hectic" of a place. and then you could get the boat or monorail right over to MK
for other meals to meat Mickey and Donald and the "classic" guys... try Tusker House in Animal Kingdom. They're all dressed up in their safari gear-- and the food is great!

Aren't the characters at Hollywood and Vine Dinner Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Daisy? We did BBB on a morning at Disney Springs. I would have preferred the castle for convenience, but we had our car, so it wasn't bad. DD1(6) left her bun in for a few days. DD2 (4) asked to have hers taken out before bed the first night.

yes thats exactly what i heard! that it gets backed up vs. the springs... we aren't doing Animal kingdom on our trip unfortunately... We have been before and aren't the biggest fans, and we would rather get 2 days of MK out of the trip since it's such a big park. Maybe next time though!
