Dining Room Paint help
We are moving into our new house in June and are just starting to look at paint colors. We are big BM fans, so I've been looking at all types of beige and brown combos for this room. Here is a pic with the current owners stuff still there. Any suggestions on paint colors? Image Attachment(s):

Re: Dining Room Paint help
Are you keeping the chair rail? if so, maybe a chocolate color on the bottom and a lighter color up top.

Yes, we are keeping the chair rail up. I should also add that our furniture is a dark wood.

Re: Dining Room Paint help
I just used saddletan and arizona tan in my house. In the hallway pic (you can see a little of it in the 2nd pic), you can see the saddletan on the bottom and the arizona tan on top. Both are Benjamin Moore paints.

Re: Dining Room Paint help
I just painted my dining room BM lenox tan. It's a warm tan color, closer to beige than brown.
ETA: You can paint the top portion of the room a red color and lenox tan the bottom.

i love love love lenox tan. i think we are doing the entire lower floor that color....my dining room opens up to the formal living room, so lenox tan would work great..i just don't know if i should do a lighter or darker color w/ it..here is how the rooms blend....Image Attachment(s):

Re: Dining Room Paint help
Great house! I would go darker on the bottom for some contrast.
BM sells those little samples, so maybe you can try it out on a small area first.

First of all...LOVE LOVE LOVE your house! and secondly, I don't think red would look right anymore.
How about an olive color? I painted my built in hutch olive branch and it matches so nice with the lenox tan. I would keep the rooms neutral, warm, and within the beige family. You could even do audobonn russet. Red wouldn't blend so well I think.

Thank you, this really is our dream house and we are so excited about it. We are really into warm, neutral colors, so beiges and browns are in. I also love sage, so that is an idea as well.
The entire house is an open floor plan, my worry was that the room colors wouldn't blend well.
