Re: Direct buy...

My parents just joined 2 weeks ago and for them it will pay for itself if in a short amount of time because they are doing a full renovation on their home. The membership is $4100 for 7 years and then $150 a year after that. They are extremly strict as far buying items. You have to go to the to put in the order and everything has to be shipped to your house. If you want to bring someone with you to Direct Buy then they have to wait in waiting area. To get the the prices online they email you. You save I think it was 58% of the cost of the item. Appliances you only save like 10%. But they have everything their. Hope I was some help.

Re: Direct buy...

my friends joined it and they HATE it.
The prices are a little bit better, but the yearly fee is very pricey.

Re: Direct buy...

I think it's really worth it if you are redoing your home, especially if you are doing over a long period of time. The membership is really expensive(when I went it was $3500/2 years), but the prices on kitchens, baths, furniture, etc. were incredibly low.
If you aren't totally redoing your home, it's not worth it...it's not like BJ's where you can go shopping, there's nothing in the stores, everything is special order.

Re: Direct buy...

We joined....we HATED it and we fought to get our memebership fee back, which we did. FM me if you want specific details.

Re: Direct buy...

my friend is a member and buys a lot of furniture from there, they said you save lots of money but it costs thousands to join and it takes a really long time to get what you order

Both my mom and me agree that it's not worth it unless you are doing major renovations.
