directions to giants stadium? (meadowlands)

does anyone have directions to the meadowlands/giants stadium? i know i can take the lincoln tunnel or GWB, but i'm unsure how to get to either of those... from suffolk county (i can take any parkway)???
what time would you leave for a 1pm game tomorrow? thanks!

do mapquest.. but i think you take the southernstate to the belt and that leads you to the washington bridge.. but dont hold me to it.

time to leave are you going to tailgate party.. Not sure how far out on the island you are, but i would try and leave around 11 am if i was leaving from my area, which is east meadow.

Remember that the whole area is under construction. Unless you have a parking pass you will be directed to park in a remote lot (I think it was a 10 minute ride AWAY from the stadium) and then they make you board a school bus and they drive you over to the stadium parking lot and drop you off.

You'd think that they would even drop you off at the entrance, or near where the port authority buses drop you off - but no they drop you off at the beginning of the lot and you need to walk all the way thru the lot just to get to the stadium.

There is NO TAILGATING at all in the remote lots so don't even bother. It's a horrible mess, we won't go back to another game until the new stadium is finished.

ETA: As for timing when to leave, I just asked my DH when he would leave knowing what we went thru the first time, and he said we would leave at 9:30AM for 1PM game. We live in southwestern suffolk. If you are not on a bus by noon, you're going to miss kick off.

The Best directions to the Meadowland--I would not take the Belt-you go out fo your way.

Northern State to end to Triboro bridge. Stay right towards Manhattan- Get on the FDR North/. Follow signs for the GW-when you get over the GW Bridge follow signs for the NJ Turnpike-it is *I think* exit 16. You will see signs.

DH leaves from Central Nassau around 9am for the 1pm games, but he also tailgates.. i think he gets there around 10-10:30ish?

we were thinking of leaving around 11, but maybe we'll make it 10:30 just to be safe; esp if it's such a big project with parking now. grrr, how annoying. we aren't tailgating, and there's no way i'm leaving at 9-9:30am on a sunday - we'll be sitting there for hours waiting for the game to start.

i'm still a little unsure how to get there... i know the last time we went, we definitely did NOT take the belt parkway...
does anyone know how to get to the lincoln tunnel? i have directions from there... and i know how to get to the midtown tunnel, so i would just need directions from the midtown tunnel to the lincoln tunnel. thanks!

I would DEFINITELY leave now. Since they are doing construction at the stadium, parking is horrendous. We left a few weeks ago at 9:30 and got to the stadium at 11:00 maybe a little later and traffic was really building up, since the person we went w/was season ticket holders, we didn't have a problem with parking, HOWEVER, if you are just a single game ticket holder, I'd leave really soon!

just wanted to say thanks again; the directions were great. the whole parking situation STINKS there... and it's a complete ripoff that you have to pay $25 bux to park in a lot like 10miles away and get dropped off still a mile away from the stadium grrr
but, we left at 10:30am from islip and got there in time
