Dirty doorbell ringers (and knockers too)

ARGH! It never fails. I get both kids to sleep and someone rings my doorbell, sets the dog off barking, and wakes them up.

They're each fighting off the tail end of a cold and Mads is still dealing with the discomforts from the antibiotics she's on to treat Lyme disease- so you KNOW they were both up last night. OMG- I have been waiting for them to finally get to sleep so I could get some housework done.

The poor lady was just selling newspaper subscriptions and I swear, it took every ounce of strength to not SCREAM at her. I need to start putting a sign on the door telling people to go away.

i'd make a sign that says

CHILDREN SLEEPING, DO NOT RING OR KNOCK. COME BACK LATER.

Ugh that stinks. We put tape over our upstairs bell but the ups and fedex guys always ring it. I even write on all things I order to ring the bottom bell. Some people just don't care.
