Discusted with a store

I go to the Pets Warehouse in Lindenhurst to buy my pupy's wee wee pads about once a month. They had never sold dogs there since I have been going there. I saw a huge sign "Puppies" on the window. I walked in the room they had and I was really mad. They had two rooms closed off with plexi glass all this blue paper on the floor and about 5 or 6 puppies in both rooms. They looked dirty, and not taken care of properly. They had this big notice on the wall about how they don't get their dogs from a puppy mill.. etc. They were selling the dogs anywhere from 700 - 1300! It just ****** me off so much to see the condition they were in and I am seriously debating contacting someone to investigate them. I CAN'T stand these stores that try to make money off of these poor babies and they keep them in such conditions. I am really very angry. What would you do?

They sell Kittens all the time for years. Theres always a whole bunch in there and they always smell like Poop. The entire store does.

The place is scary dirty too.

Yeah they have a HUGE animal/small animal area there. All kinds of exotics too. We stopped going there & BTJs for that reason years ago.Chat Icon We wrote a letter to all of the owners of the stores we no longer frequent letting them know why. From us this is no small thing considering we spend hundreds each month on our pets.

I haven't been there in years...but we got our cat from them. They used to take in stray kittens and you paid $40 to take the kitten home. Once you got the kitten spayed or neutered you had to bring in your paperwork from the vet along with the receipt and they gave you your money back. We did this with Espresso.

As far as the puppies go, that must be new and you can try and call the board of health or Suffolk ASPCA, but these places seem to operate outside the law.
