Disinfecting the house after a stomach bug
   We got hit HARD! In addition to washing all the clothes, sheets, towels and blankets, scrubbing my bathroom, wiping all the door knobs, countertops with Clorox wipes, wiping down all the toys, how else can I make sure that everything has been disinfected?

Last year we got hit with it, and didn't do any special disinfecting, and it didn't last more than a day or two for each person affected. Once everyone ended up getting it, you're not going to "re-catch" the same virus, so it didn't seem necessary.

don't forget phones, keyboards, any other commonly used items (not sure if you mentioned drawer handles, shower handles, etc.)

Open the windows, let the fresh air in a just spray all surfaces with plain ol' lysol. This happened to us back in December. It was awful!

yep thats what i was going to say - open up the windows and lysol everything! happened to us in january

Wipe everything down, wash all the bedding AND open the windows for fresh air! Feel better!

We tried to do this too...Just b/c it's winter and all our windows are closed we needed to get some fresh air in here.

So glad this was posted- we'll be doing all of this today. Although- I gotta say, I did most of this when Mads first got it but we all still caught it.

So glad this was posted- we'll be doing all of this today. Although- I gotta say, I did most of this when Mads first got it but we all still caught it.
Yea DD got it on Sat night and we disinfected Sun and Mon and I ended up getting sick on Mon night....but we just kept cleaning and disinfecting.
