Disney Cruise and Disneyworld Week Packages?
Does anyone know how much a 3 day cruise and then a 4 day Disney vacation costs for a family of 4? I am thinking the end of Aug. 2011.

It varies quite a bit depending on your category but it is very expensive. I think you are better to book them separately b/c when you book them together I believe you have to book resorts that are in the ship category - so inside staterooms you get value resort, window and some balcony's you get moderate resorts etc. It was more than spending 9 days in WDW to do both when we priced it.
Check out some of the discount cruise sites like bestpricecruises.
Also I think WDW has been doing some discounts like kids sail free (you still have to pay taxes and port charges) so check out mousesavers.com

Re: Disney Cruise and Disneyworld Week Packages?
You can certainly ballpark a price, but you won't be able to get a firm quote until Disney releases it's 2011 package pricing later on this year (probably early August).
The cruise portion is currently bookable and pricing is available. The Disney Dream (replaces the Wonder in January 2011) will be doing 4- and 5-night Bahamas itineraries most of the summer (while the Magic is in Europe), but does start the 3-night cruises up again on August 25.
Pricing for the land and sea segments are dependent on the number of adults / children in your travel party, the ages of your children, and other factors like stateroom category and the type of accommodations you want at Disney World.
At this point in time, the rates for the 8/25/2011 cruise look pretty appealing. This in part due to the date of the cruise and the advanced time frame you are looking at. The cost will undoubtedly rise as time goes by though, so it's always a good idea to book early (or last minute, but the latter not so much with Disney).
Anyway, to answer your question, I would contact a travel agent who focuses on Disney travel and let them do the legwork for you. At the very least they can provide a firm quote on the cruise portion, and an estimate based on 2009 pricing for the land portion.
Hope that helps!

We spent $4K for the package but we didn't have a meal plan and we did the land then sea (which I recommend in that order). That didn't include children b/c DD was free at the time. We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge and had a balcony room.

I would talk to a cruise agent. Just because they do get great deals. Especially Dawn from CruiseOne... she is a vendor on here. We just booked our 3rd cruise with her we are doing the 4 day disney cruise with 3 days in disney. Prices vary depending on what stateroom you are in and what hotel you want to stay at.
