Disney Cruise ..what would be an appropriate age to take the kids?
I saw something on the Travel Channel this weekend which featured Disney Cruises and they look like so much fun!!!
Seeing as how DD is coming in August, what age do you think would be good to take her on it?

We are going to wait awhile to go on the Disney one. We are going in May on a "regular" cruise that is more for us and my parent's then Andrew.
Plus I have heard that it is pricey and I really want Andrew to enjoy it for all the money we are going to shell out

I think over 3 cause thats when you can use the camp. We are going on a Carnival cruise because we can use the camp because the age starts at 2 for carnival and Dh and I will get some alone time which is cruicial for relaxing when you have a 2 year old.

Yes that makes perfect sense. I was thinking around when she was 3..but I may just wait longer now.

Disney has wonderful babysitting services for 4 months and up. Only problem is they limit you to 10 hours per cruise. I think it is $6 an hour.
I took son to Disney World at 11 months and 2 years...he loved it both times. He was not at all afraid of the character. I would not go out of my way to do this though cause they never even remember it, but it was convenient for us since it was close to my in-laws...we needed a break from them.

They have a nursery to watch children under 3.
ETA: DH and I went when we were childless and had a blast. We'll probably wait til DD is around 4 so she can really participate as oppossed to just dropping her off at daycare.
