Disney dining reservations - 180th day questions
What's the best way to do this? Call or online?
What time do reservations open on the 180th day out?
Any tips or tricks?

Disney dining reservations - 180th day questions
i've had luck online  they open up at 6AM (eastern) online.... and then 7 PM the dining phone lines open
do the ones you know are the most popular first... like Be Our guest, Chef Mickey, etc....
Certain ones in Downtown Disney, like T-Rex Cafe, open up only a certain amount of reservations to the disney system. so if you want one of them and don't see anything on the Disney site, try calling the restaurant directly
Good luck!! we're gong the first week of september, so i did my reservations a couple weeks ago and got all the ones i wanted at the times i wanted... and even now when i go to look there are still a lot of decent times left. so hopefully you'll get lucky!!

I had luck on the phone. The rep was very helpful in organizing things for me.
Call the second you can & don't be surprised if some things are booked already.

yup! this! remember people can book at 180 days for up to 10 days of their trip. SO even though its the first day you can make reservations, other people (whose vacation runs into your dates) were able to book those dates like a week or so ago... just try to do it as soon as you can, and you should be ok...

I loathe calling Disney, you have to answer 101 questions just for them to be able to search dining for you. I always just do it online

I had called, only because I was at work and was having internet issues that day. The rep was very helpful, the only annoying part was having to listen to all the policies (ie cancellation).

I did online - I was ready at 6 am - start with the hardest ones first - and if they are further into your reservation that is best
also downtown Disney restaurants call themselves - this way you are not restricted to Disney cancelation policy
phone lines open at 7 am
