Disney fanatics come in... what do you know about the epcot updates?
I am a pretty big fan of disney, and already planning our trip back in feb 2021. For those of you following the Epcot updates, do you think it'll be done by then?? I know the 50th anniversary is 2021, so I am hoping that they are aiming to be done by Jan.
We have always stayed off property until last year when we did AoA, now I will never go back. Having the dining plan and everything was so convenient, but I'm wondering if we should consider Saratoga or OKW next time around. Price-wise, AoA is better and they have the skyliner now. So maybe we should just go back there... We need a suite-style room and AoA has the two bathrooms which is pretty sweet too.
Anyway, I'm SO excited about these Epcot updates and I'm dying to see

We were planning to go in 2020 but with the 50th Anniversary in 2021, we have now pushed our trip. I am aiming to go in December 2021.

i wrote it above- it's the 50th anniversary of disney world in 2021 so there's going to be alot of special events and celebrations that year. Also, Epcot is getting the full renovation and should (hopefully) be done by 2021 in time for the 50th anniversary

What she said! I don't want to spend a ton of money on this vacation to have Epcot not really be operational in 2020 and to miss out on whatever 50th Anniversary celebrations they will be having.
I remember going to the 20th Anniversary and it was awesome!

I know a Ratatouille ride is opening in Epcot next summer- 2020! But that's about it. We're planning to go in 2021 anyway, but more because of my kids' ages than the celebration.
