Disney Help

going to Disney in August with 13 people - including kids ages 5,5,5,3,2,2,and 1

we will be there for 6 days. What parks other then MK are good for kids? Is Universal, MGM Epcot too old?

I haven't been there since 1994 and never with my kids so I need help please!

Also where is the best place to buy tickets beforehand?

TIA

Re: Disney Help

i went last year with kids that were 1,2,6,9 and they enjoyed animal kingdom, especially the little playground they have in dino world (i think). certain things in epcot were good for them, and a few things at mgm. but i would spend the bulk of your time in mk and ak. have fun!

Re: Disney Help

don't even waste your money in universal the kids are way to young!!! Buy that book disney with kids, it's got great advice!!! get stoller covers that will protect them from the rain. We go every year, my kids love mk, mgm. Epcot is too old and animal kingdom unfortunately in august the animals are too hot to come out!!

What about Animal Kingdom? That place is great for kids. I agree about Universal. Way too many things that kids would not be able to get on.

We are going in October and we were originally planning on skipping MGM, but now they have a Playhouse DIsney thing there, with shows and stuff, so we might wind up going there.

Animl kingdom is good for the little ones and my borhter brings his daughter who is 2 to Epcot all the time.

If you go to www.mousesavers.com there is a bunch of info on tickets. Are you staying on the property? The tickets they offer for hopper passes and length of stays are the best prices from what I heard.

Be careful with ticket brokers though.

Have a great time!!!

Re: Disney Help

Get the unofficial guide to WDW w/ kids.

I think most of the rides in EPCOT are too old.

but spaceship earth is ok for them and the imagination ride...honey I shrunk the audience and the energy adventure might be too intense. For world showcase, they added a passport thing to make ti more friendly to kids, they have KidCot stations where they have kids get passports and get tehm stamped in each country, there's also an arts and crafts table and they make a mask and add elements to it at every station. I think you have to buy the passport, but the arts and crafts are free.

I would skip universal 1 but islands of adventure has some cute things for kids. I would also skip MGM I think its boring for kids and adults. Epcots probably not entertaining to little ones either...but I think its great!
Did you consider a water park as well like typhoon lagoon. What about seaworld? they'd probably love that!
