Re: Disney Hotel Recommendations
We've stayed at the Boardwalk. It's beautiful and you can walk to Epcot for the fireworks.
We've also stayed at the Wilderness, it's just like an old time nat'l park lodge. It does not feel like you are in Disney. It is a boat ride to the magic kindom, but the rooms are small for deluxe hotel$ Happy vacationing! I'm jealous DH and I would love to go back, but want DS to be walking when we go...one day...

Re: Disney Hotel Recommendations
We stayed at the Yacht Club several times. It's connected to the Beach Club and a boat ride away from Epcot and MGM. It's a really nice resort and the pool is AWESOME!! The pool alone is reason to stay there! The bottom is sandy and it's zero entry.
We've also stayed at Pop Century and All Star Movies (value resorts) and while they didn't have all the frills of the Deluxe, they were cute and DS loved them
This site has pics of all of the resorts

Re: Disney Hotel Recommendations
My favorites are
Boardwalk - great location beween EPCOT & MGM with lots of entertainment and dining options on the boardwalk and around Crescent Lake. Great pool area.
Wilderness Lodge - fantastic theme, breathtaking property. Several convenient dining options. Boat to MK, buses everywhere else. Awsome pool bartenders!
Port Orleans Riverside - really pretty resort, nice pool area, nice sized rooms, great lobby lounge, updated food court and good sit down restaurant.
