Disney on Ice and Beer Festival
I noticed that someone mentioned a beer festival at Nassau Col. on Sat - So I went and looked and it says it is indoors - with 60,000 square feet of the expo floor. Where is this festival going to be if it is going on the same time as the Disney on Ice (the times overlap - the 1st session is like 11-4 or so and the Ice show is at I think 11 and 3 and 7).
I'm slightly annoyed about this does anyone else think it is strange that they are holding a beer festival the same time as a family event.

Maybe I'm just uptight but I'm not crazy about going with a beer festival going on at the same time. And I'm wondering how they are going to separate the two.

Anh. It wouldn't bother me.
And I think those festivals, for the most part, are for people who appreciate beer and different kinds, not for hard core drunks
And if you went to a show at the Garden you could have drunks for a basketball game too, KWIM?

True but they would be in different theaters and most likely not driving after the game but taking the train. KWIM?
Since I have never been to an expo there is it a separate area from the arena? I just remember one big arena you walk around not more than one area - like MSG has a theater that is separate from their main floor.

I would not care of it either. Lots of regular people but lots of drunk also.

the expo area at hte colliseum is on the lower level, separate from the arena. to get to the lower level for the expo stuff there is an escalator near the ticket windows, or you get to take hte freight elevator with an escort down there. its where they hold the car show. (Although depending on how they take you once you are down in the frieght elevator, they can take you through the bleachers next to the ice.
i am sure if htere is something going on in the arena, they won't be taking people that way. its a giant maze on the lower level of the place.
and if you're in hte arena for a show, they take you to your seats from the main level entrances. if that made any sense.

Maybe the beer festival goers aren't thrilled at sharing THEIR event with a bunch of kids and moms

I wanna come with too!!
DD went to many bars while we were in SPain so she could stay at Disney or come to the festival -- um I think she'd PREFER the festival -- she loves beer!!
