Disney people come on in...
I think when Dh returns we may go to WDW for a long weekend and leave the baby with my mom. He really deserves a vacation and well raising an infant with no husband or family aren't isn't the most relaxing experience ever.
Now we want it to be inexpensive which it should be we already have park hoppers but we want a nice hotel that won't kill us and also some advice on places to go in disney.. epcot without kids.
This will be our last time there ever as a couple and we want to try to make it somewhat romantic if we can.
So throw some ideas at me please....

Re: Disney people come on in...
We went to WDW with my husband and his family SIL, BIL their 3 kids, his parents. While we were there(oct 14-21) there was the Epcot food and wine festival. It was really cool there were these little booths set up from each country and you could try all these appetizers and different wines. That was fun but I guess it's what your into. We rented a house from vrbo.com so can't help you on the hotel although we stayed at the Swan another time which has an awesome lagoon pool and hot tub, very private late at night if you know what I mean ;>

The last time we went to Disney we tried to save money and we stayed at the All Star Music. I loved this hotel. Lots of kids but totally didn't bother me. Its their Value resot though so its not very "romantic"

The food & wine festival at Epcot is fantastic!
Try mousesavers.com to find some discounts or if you are a AAA member ...
PS: Don't you live in Florida? I think there are usually resident discounts ... hmmm, that may be just for tickets

The All Star and Pop Century are the value resorts, I have stayed at both and love them
The moderate resorts are not that much more and are really nice too, and may be more romantic.

Re: Disney people come on in...
The Port Orleans French Quarter si REALLY romantic and you may be able to get a good deal.
I lov verything about Disney. EPCOT is wonderful for thrill rides but also for live music and cultural displays and yummy food.
For a romantic dinner make a reservation at the California Grill (located at the Contemporary resort) 1 hour before Wishes (MK fireowrks) and then you can watch the fireworks with an overhead view of the Magic Kingdom. MGM also has great rides like the Tower of Terror and Rockn Rollercoaster, and Fantasmic! is wroth the trip to FL all by itself. I love the Beauty and the Beast show, not to be missed! Prime Time 50's cafe is a lot of fun. At MK don't miss Philharmagic, and of course all of the classic attractions. EPCOT has test track, mission space and soarin; which I hear is fantastic! The Animal kingdom is great, but I;d skip it if you only have a few days. The Safari and the Lion King Show are my fave things there.
Have fun!
