Disney posts
Once, when I was 3. My parents said all I did was complain about walking and the heat. They never took me back, but have taken my (much) younger sister several times. I always refused to go.
I'm 31 now and still don't plan on going. I do not like heat, crowds, magic, children or large mice.

Disney posts
I've been there 9 times, 6 with DH, once with my family, twice with friends.
We're dying to take DS. We went as a family to their Hilton Head resort and loved it.

Re: Disney posts
I have been there 6 times, twice with my parents around age 13 and 24, once with work and 3 times with our kids, including a disney cruise twice. We are going back in December for land and sea! Can't Wait!

Re: Disney posts
Oh gosh, I've lost count. My parents took us many times as kids. Then DH and I lived in FL for 4 years after college so we went ALL the time. I LOVE Disney, I would go every few months if I could!

Once without: Wasn't impressed Once with: Still wasn't impressed
This is not the popular answer, but I don't see the hype and I gave it two shots. For many reasons. Short answer: its just not for me. The crowds, the lines, the heat, the minute by minute planning a year in advance... the way they overcharge for everything.
Probably will not be going back for a long long time... if ever.
My kids prefer the beach /pool over Disney anyway
I'm with you!
After the past few awful months we've had, I'd like to take a vacation and considered Disney because I know my 2 year old would love it but reading all of these posts here and on fb about all the planning that goes into it plus thinking about all of the crowds and lines... yeah no. Plus the cost! It's crazy! My focus has shifted to going on a disney cruise instead but even that is just insanely expensive compared to other cruise lines.
Just an FYI.............if you time it right, it really doesn't have to be a fortune OR crazy crowded.
I pulled my DD from school when we went and we were there at the end of October into November. The crowds weren't terrible at all and for a family of four, on Disney property (we did a value resort that time) we spent under $2500 for our hotel and passes AND we got FREE dining which was a HUGE savings.
Airfare was another $1000. So for under $4K we got to spend 10 days in Disney, I think that's pretty good!

Definitely a great deal!
I can handle that!
