Disney pro's- How far in advance to book? (and a few other questions)

We're planning to go to Disney (yay! Chat Icon ) next year. Is it better to wait for "good deals" to come along closer to the date or will we save more by booking asap?

How far in advance can you book hotels (we plan to stay in Disney)?

How far in advance can you book meals?

What meals are "must do"? We'll have a just turned 3 y/o DD and 1 y/o DS. I definitely want to do at least one (if not more) character meals, would love a princess meal. We'll definitely do MK and Epcot, probably AK and maybe HS.

How far in advance can you book T-Rex? I've only seen it from the outside and before we had kids. Do some kids find it scary? Do you wait in that super long line even with a reservation?

What Disney hotel do you recommend for staying with 2 in strollers?

I used dreams unlimited travel and highly recommend them. Even if you book now and deals come up in the future they will honor those deals and make the adjustments. We booked about 8-9 months out.

I think you can book up to a year in advance but I'm not certain.

You can book meals 180 days in advance.

We did the character meals at: HS - Hollywood & Vine, MK - Crystal Palace & Chef Mickey. All different characters and my boys loved all 3 of them (ages 3yrs and 21months at the time).

We didn't go to T-Rex so I have no input.

We stayed at All Star Movie - Toy Story Building on ground level in Decemeber and although it may not be for everyone we thought it was perfect for us.

Happy Planning!

Thanks so much! I just saw the thread over on the travel board, so I'll be checking that out too. This is so much fun to plan!
