Disney will refuse to film in GA if anti-gay bill is passed

Disney and Marvel announced yesterday that they will take their business elsewhere if the anti-gay bill is passed. Today, more celebs are banning together to agree (Anne Hathaway, Julianne Moore, Matt Bomer, etc).
I think it's great that they're taking a stand against something so backwards, but where were they when NC passed it recently?! NC is also a hot bed of film & TV production - so why the line in the sand for GA?

I would say I'm surprised stuff like that can pass, but with the rise of Trump I just it's not too surprising - just really backwards and sad.

I guess they're also calling it a "religious liberty bill" - basically giving companies the right to refuse service to gay people - whether it's vendors for a wedding or someone that owns a retail business.

My husband answered my question for me - apparently NC passed the law in less than 24 hours. No one (media) knew it was happening before it went through. Since it was presented to GA, I guess that's when Disney wanted to try to put the brakes on another state passing the law.

I think the problem is a lot of people that voted these lawmakers into office, want laws like this. If you go to those states, you'll find a lot of close-minded people that think that they have a right to discriminate against anyone that is different then them. It's terrible.
