Re: DisneyWorld ppl

I have been doing some research and Delta Song has some good flights. I flew that last year and it was great. Definately get a hopper pass so you can do all the parks.

check out mousesavers

The site compares packages, and tells all the codes, etc to help you save money. In addition to the WDW packages and hotels, it also has codes for airfare, car rental etc.

I have seen this advertised on TV so you could probably find info at Disney.com The Disney Destination Icon will bring you to resrevations.

I get a lot of info at Intercot their are tabs for resorts, parks and info central is just that...a link for just about any question you coud have. Then there's a discussion tab for any you can't find the answer to.

Re: DisneyWorld ppl

I seriously find the best deals just looking at the disney website. I've been on intercot and mousesavers and allears.net, but generally disney's own specials are the best. Avoud easter week and spring break times. If you cna amke the trip early (say in jan or feb) it'll be cheaper and less crowded.

We've flown jetblue and song. It just depends on who is having the better deal then. I check their websites and also orbitz. To save money, stay at the all stars or pop century. The packages are usually the best unless you plan to visit other locations (sea world, universal, etc), or if yu plan to stay more than a certain number of days sometimes an annual pass is better. they just restructured ticketing, to make it cheaper...the longer you saty the less your pass costs. The annual pass cbreak-even point used to be 8 days, now it's about 13, but you do better with great hotel rates. Look into their package with dining (I think jax used this on her recent trip) I haven;t used it, (yet) but it seems like a really good deal, depending on how much you usually eat in the parks and where you intend to eat. If you want to eat at any specific restarants, start calling now 1 407 WDWDINE. If you want cinderella's castle for breakfast it's probably too late (i think they moved that to 120 days aheqad) but for anything else you should be golden. I looove California Grill for an anniversary dinner. it overlooks MK. Get seating 1 hour before the fireworks and you cna watch them during dinner. SOOO romantic!!! Chat Icon I also love any meal in the castle!

I remember there was a channel that only pertained to the disney parks. It was in the 500s or 600's on IO. Maybe someone can tell you exactly what channel it was. I watched it and got alot of great ideas. It even tells you what days are the least crowded to go to parks.

Last I looked I couldn't find the channel I don't think it is still there Chat Icon it was great!

I have planned trips for a few of my friends (as well as for my DH and I - we honeymooned at disney AKL)

Marymoon is right - you want to book thru disney for the hotel and tickets (package) it is always the cheapest - but do check mousesavers as she will list what codes disney currently has and then you go to disney and use those codes to book.

Book your own airfare it will be the cheapest.

A great book to pick up as well is the unofficial guide to WDW.

For budgeting check out:
all ears net
This site is great it has menus for EVERY restaurant, counter service place etc at wdw - this way if you don't do a dining plan you can see where you want to eat and roughly what it will cost you.

A hint is to book ADR's (advance reservations - they have also been called PS - priority seating) anyway - I would do this ASAP when you book as they changed the timing and you can now do it 180 days in advance - I would do this so you have ressies each night if you want a sit down dinner - you can always change it later or try to change it while you are there but at least you will have something. During busy times many restaurants will turn away walk ins. An ADR is not exactly a reservation as much as priority seating, but disney works where many of the restaurants will be completely full based on ADR's so no room for walk ins - they also over book ADR's because they expect no shows. So I would figure out where you might want to go and book it - you can change them at anytime but at least you will have something.

I used to live on disboards

It is just like LIW but for disney (has sections for WDW, DL, DCL, and even a section for Universal. People over there will announce when codes come out, there are trip reviews, photos etc. It is usually very helpful.

Let me know if you have more questions.

With air - check out jet blue - I believe song is going to go back to being delta - so not sure what is going on with them - delta is having issues I think I read so if you can deal with jet blue I would do so. There is also Southwest, and spirit. We got a good deal with spirit for our honeymoon -

I can't for the life of me remember the name of the site maybe someone else can help but there is a site where you can put in dates and all airlines come up with their rates so you can see who is cheaper. The individual airline site is often cheaper than say they are on expedia etc. So shop around if you find a good price on a major site with many airlines - take those flights and go shop on the airlines direct flight - you can often do better. Southwest now has something called Ding - where you upload this program and it notifies you when specials come out.

If you have any other questions let me know
