disposable changing pad covers...what kind/size for use in public?
Sorry to crash...I am due in 2 weeks and trying to get some last minute baby supplies.
I posted on here a while ago about changing the baby in public and what people do about those nasty changing stations. Many people mentioned using disposable changing pad covers. My question is...can you recommend which ones you use? I bought some from BBB yesterday but when I got home I realized they were very small. (i forget the dimensions) but they are definately smaller then the full length of a baby. I saw other ones there that seemed more expensive but i'm not even sure what size those were.
I am wondering if I should keep them and just use them at home. If i use them in public I would need to use at least 2 in order to cover the space where the baby is laying.
What does everyone else do? Thanks.

I made that mistake once too, there are different sizes and yes the bigger ones are more expensive. I use an oversized changing pad that I keep in my bag and just clean the bottom every week with some spray. The changing tables are not that bad in most stores, if they are just just baby in the stroller or car.

I buy the B RU brand. They fit perfect. plus the are not all that expensive.

Do you know if they are on the website? Is that the Especially for baby brand?
Also...not sure if anyone has used these before, but what about using weewee pads instead. (they are the pads people use for training dogs). I know it sounds silly but they are very absorbent and seem much less expensive (they sell a 100 pack for 20 bucks on amazon). Has anyone used these before?

I have changed my kids in a public place-maybe 10 times and they are 17 mos. Don't overthink it When i did have to change them on one. I wipe it with a wet one antoibacterial and then cover with my pad that came with my diaper bag-or i hange them in the front seat or laying down in the back of my SUV

ITA! I would change DS in my car over the public restroom whenever possible. Now at 13 months, we just started doing the "standing diaper change". If he is just wet, we can change him real quick while he is standing. He is actually more cooperative this way believe it or not!

I use these too. I even used them at home on top of his changing pad the first few weeks. We had a lot of accidents in the beginning, and it was better than washing the changing pad cover every day.

can I suggest that you get a traveling changing pad in lieu of disposable pad covers?
I have one from skip hop (I actually have 2 b/c one came with my diaper bag) that are both AWESOME AND they are reusable (better for the dump and the environment)

I never used them.
I always kept a receiving blanket in my diaper bag, and would lay that on the changing table, then put the diaper pad that came with my diaper bag on top of that.
When I got home, I'd throw the blanket in the wash. I had a gazzilion of them that we took from the hosptial.
