Ditching Cable for Sports Fans
DH is all but convinced on ditching cable (we're waiting for the season finales of everything before we pursue it, which would be this week). The problem is he would miss sports. Big Mets/Giants fan. Is there any way around this?
Also, anyone try the Amazon Fire box yet or knows how it compares to a Roku? We are currently paying $151 a month for one box with DVR, and no movie channels. It's ridiculous. We can't even get Sprout for DS without paying an extra $20/month for an "upgraded plan."

I'm so sick of taking it up the rear from cablevision, but DH wants his sports too, I don't think you can stream those

You can get an antenna like a Mohu leaf for like 40 dollars on amazon and you can get broadcast networks like abc, nbc, etc. you can watch football on these, but only local games.
You can pay like 159 a year for the mlb package on a roku and watch every baseball game.
The biggest issue is Thursday night and Monday night football. Their really hard to get without cable.
