Ditching DH - anyone shake him loose as ur diet partner?
Well, in the four years we have been together I gained about 50lbs and he gained prob 25ish. However, I look fat and he really doesn't b/c he is sooo tall. Because of this I feel like he wants to lose the weight but ehhh he doesn't really feel the sadness/ discomfort of being overweight like I do.
We tried a bunch of diets together but always fail.
Now, I've sorta ditched him (I've been following the Dr. Oz diet- but a little modified) and I am down 5lbs.
I feel guilty for abandoning him as my diet partner but it just wasn't working. Also, I felt like meal planning for both of us was always on my shoulders even though we are hardly together all week.
Thoughts?

Oh yeah, dieting together just doesn't work for us b/c he can basically eat what he wants and not gain any weight...jerk.

I ditched my DH as my diet a long time ago. He wasn't staying on the wagon, kept asking to go to Taco Bell, pizza, Chinese food, etc. Thats when I knew he wasn't as serious as I was. Since then I'VE lost 50 lbs and him-ZERO!

I abandoned DH when DD was 2 weeks old and he refused to walk with us. I am glad I did. I am down over 70 lbs and he is only down 30!

My DH is 140 lbs soaking wet so yeah he doesn't need to loose any weight on his diet of wendy's and beer very discouraging...

big argument this week about it. I feel like he is trying to sabotage me.
He cannot discuss anytihng food related with me any longer. He is crazy and selfish. To put it mildly

We both follow WW. However I go to meetings and he follows what I tell him. He doesn't take it as seriously as I do.
I prepare meals for myself - he can modify them as he chooses. He isn't the best diet partner - but I am trying to encourage healthy eating for both of us.

He is on WW, but only because I only cook WW point friendly recipes.
He is okay with that though (he doesn't need to lose weight at all though, he is just health conscience-I hate him a little for this).
