Divorce and children.... it SUX!
My sister is going through a divorce now, with 3 children. I took Roman and my 5 yr old twin neices to the park for their birthday after opening presents. It broke my heart to see them sitting in the corner of the playground not wanting to play with anyone or each other and just stare down at the sand. My sister is VERY STUBBORN and doesn't listen to anyone or want any emotional or financial support. She thinks everyone's fine and once her divorce is final everything will be okay.
The ironic thing is it's history repeating itself from when we were that young, which is why I thought it would help her to realize how much support is needed, very sad

Very sad. I saw my girlfriend go through it with a 4 year old. The divorce wasn't the hard part for her. It was the complete abandonment of her dad that did it.
Hope she sees the light soon. I'm glad you're there for them.

I would encourage her or maybe you can do it and check whether their school has a banana splits group for kids whose parents are divorced.

I'll mention it to her. My sister is very defensive and because of the district she is in she feels most of the women are caddy gossipers. I know she didn't want to talk to the teacher last year but obviously so much is going on it's not going to take a brain surgeon to figure something's wrong on the homefront.

That breaks my heart - those poor girls. There is never a good age to get a divorce and kids know that things aren't happy....
I wish them all luck and I hope that she turns around and gets them some counseling or let's people take them more often.
