Dix Hills/Commack Area
We are looking at buying a house that is in Dix Hills, but Commack schools. I know Commack schools rate just as high as half hollow but I am nervous about living in a town where my kids go to a different school...any info would be appreciated....thanks!

My parents live on the Commack/Smithtown border. Technically the mailing address is Smithtown but I went to Commack schools. I don't see it as an issue at all.
There were kids from East Northport, Dix Hills, Smithtown and Commack in my high school. I also had friends around the corner that went to Smithtown schools.
It wouldn't deter me at all from buying a house.

I lived in East Northport and went to Commack Schools. I don't see it as a big deal.

My friend lives in Kings Park but is in Smithtown schools and my sister in law lives in Smithtown but is in Kings Park schools. As long as the school district is good, it wouldn't deter me in the least.

those borders are crazy!! i lived in the commack area but went to east northport schools.. then the next street over was dix hills district.. it really does not matter at all !!

Rach - Just saw this post. We lived in Dix Hills/commack schools for a few years between 5-7th grade. But I don't remember much
