DIY Hair gel RAVE! (updated, pics now show)
I've seen for YEARS about making my own hair gel but thought that was insane, too difficult...you name it.
Meanwhile, I'm the insane one spending so much $$$ on stupid hair gel from Aveda.
I kid you not this is so SIMPLE and WORKS!
2 cups of filtered water
1/4 cup of brown flaxseeds
Boil for approx 7 mins, run it through a mesh strainer...
You can add essential oils, etc. There are TONS of recipes online.
You keep it refrigerated and it lasts about 2-3 weeks.
I was sure this wasn't going to work. I normally use a liquid gel & this had...no joke...a "mucus" like consistency.
I styled my hair as I normally do....
Here's a picture of my hair - SECOND day hair nonetheless....
Soft, curls that held up amazingly!
If anyone tries it let me know how you made out.

Yes, used hairspray, but didn't use the argan oil spray I normally use when I use my regular hair gel to soften it. This kept it so soft.
