Dizzy at 11weeks - UPDATE! ear infection , ugh!
Anyone else experience this symptom while finishing up the first tri?
Not sure if it's from the pregnancy or the fact that as of this week I am completely weaned off my lexapro, or a combination of both?!?!
Sucks!!!!
Update: I decided to go to my primary care doctor because my Throat and my glands were starting to hurt.. Turns out I have an ear infection.. Awesome. Lol.
All that fluid in my ears certainly explains my excessive dizziness! She gave me amoxicillin.

Re: Dizzy at 11weeks
I've definitely had dizzy moments -- all that extra blood flow does crazy things to you! What I usually do is take some extra deep breaths when I feel dizzy and try to drink an extra glass of water (never can hurt). Make sure you're getting 64 oz a day, otherwise it could be a sign of dehydration.
As far as the lexapro goes, I'd definitely ask. DH went from 10 mg to 5 mg and hasn't had any symptoms and is probably weaning completely after tomorrow. I can let you know in another week if he has any "completely off" side effects. Obviously, he's not pregnant, though!
Hope you feel better!

Re: Dizzy at 11weeks
Thanks so much for the advice!! 10mg to 5mg didn't bother me, even 5mg to 2.5mg, I was ok, but now that I am completely off of it, I'm Getting the same dizzy spells that I would get if I forgot to take my pill one or two days..
And lol @ " my husbands not pregnant"!!!

Re: Dizzy at 11weeks
I wonder if they're going to halve him again before going to zero too. He's been on it just about a year now. He had his own little PPD/anxiety after DD was born that had us at the ER 5 times in 2 weeks when she was a few months old. Although he swears it was work-related, not family related, even after all this time.

Re: Dizzy at 11weeks
I had dizzy spells starting at 10 weeks. It's really bad if I get up to quickly- I get super light headed. I've read that this is fairly common among pregnant woman, so I've just been trying to take things slow.

Re: Dizzy at 11weeks
Is there anything we can take? I have a prescription for antivert (used to treat the symptoms of vertigo).. I looked it up and it's a class B drug, thoughts?

Re: Dizzy at 11weeks - BUMP, with question at the bottom
I would get dizzy if I was hungry (i think it was low blood sugar) or it could have been because your body is producing an extra amount of blood for you and your LO

Re: Dizzy at 11weeks - BUMP, with question at the bottom
I have been dizzy on and off for the past 4-5 days. It comes and goes, but when I get dizzy I feel light headed and nauseous at the same time (haven't thrown up though). It usually goes away after a little bit, but it is not a good feeling.
I am 9 weeks, so I am not sure if this is a sign of MS or jsut has to do with the blood flow.

Yes I remember getting dizzy spells, even when I laid down it felt like the room was spinning. I don't know if it had something to do with blood sugar because usually after I ate something I felt better.

Re: Dizzy at 11weeks - BUMP, with question at the bottom
OMG i was just about to write about feeling dizzy...i am 14 weeks and today was the first time i felt really dizzy and thought i was going to pass out on the subway this morning!
i had to get off the train and sit down without all the crowds, drink my water and relax for a few minutes before getting back on. I had a very helpful MTA worker stay with me and talk to me until i felt better to get on the train.
i drink lots of water and had a light snack before i left so i'm not sure why it happened...

Was it hot on the subway. I didn't have any MS but I was more aware of the rocking and that made me feel really bad. If you could sit in the middle of the train car and just close your eyes, I was not able to read on the train for 5 months!

it wasnt hot but now that you mention it, it could have been the movement of the train. The platform was really hot but i felt so much better sitting out there than in the cold train. thanks next time i'm going to sit in the middle

Ugh, glad you caught it!
I'm on amoxicillan right now too. My OB saw my throat on Tuesday and thought it looked like strep. I just have a horrible cold but it's getting much better every day. Good thing because we're flying to NY on Saturday!!! I just bought some ear planes to use on the plane.
