I like the Samsung DLP line. Cheap price for decent size and decent picture.

I just researched TVs for Rich - his old TV went, and he needed a new one.
We have a manager friend at PC Richards, and he helped us out, big time.
We went with a Sony Wega, i think 32", wide screen....he's had it for about 10 months now, and he's VERY happy with it.

Any particular store that you think is better to buy from, or just find the cheapest?

I agree. I have the Samsung DLP 52" and love it. I bought it online, but I know they sell it in Best Buy. They make it in various sizes.

if your buying a new tv try to get one that is capable of 1080p as the hd-dvd and blu-ray players will be comming out will both support 1080p playback, that would give you the best picture quality out plus you wont be kicking yourself in a few years thinking you should have gotten the better tv

1080p is a big debate as it won't be mainstream for a long time. I think there is to much hype with this. Also, to non-techincal ppl, you will probally not notice a huge difference (or even a little one)
Costco has good prices on Samsung DLP. What size are you looking for. You mention that your living room is small. Mine is small and I brought a 42" plamsa and i don't doubt its too big but i think i could of lived with a 37" because of the space. DLP normally start at 42 inches and go as high as 70"

Big debate?? All HD-DVD and Blu-ray disc that come out are going to support 1080p as well as the ps3, its going to give you the best possible picture, more resolution then a 720p + being able to shoot the entire screen in one swipe instead of the two that 1080i does. Its going to make a dramtic improvement espcially given the right source material. It is the new gold standard in tvs
