Do all of the holiday gifts/ goody bags etc go on after prek?
Just curious if this is the norm for elementary school too.
In our pre k there are goody bags to make for Halloween, Xmas, Valentine's Day, some for Easter.
Then teacher gifts for Xmas, Teacher Appreciation Day, and end of the year gifts.
Birthday parties are more than munchkins. Parents bring in themed plates, napkins, cupcakes, and favors.
I'm not a grinch about it, but I'm just curious what if any of this will continue in Kindergarten and up.

I think it ends about 2nd grade. Goodybags were definitely there in K and my D is in first. K almost everyone did something. 1st I'd say about half. The teacher gifts though never end and are well deserved : ). Birthdays it really depends on the teacher. We do munchkins or store bought treats, some teachers only do crafts and some do nothing.

We never did any of it, ever. No need and honestly, about 95% of the goody bags my kids come home with go right into the trash. Just being honest, they do.

Aint nobody got time for that.
I don't do themed cups, plates etc at home for parties, much less for daycare.
Please.

I actually hate most goody bags. Mostly filled with junky toys and junkier candy. For my kids , nursery, PreK and K I just ask if I can send in what I like. For example if we actually have school tomorrow  DD and I made mini Valentine cupcakes.
One bite and they're done, inexpensive and fun to make with DD and no crap to bring home! 
Eta: I always check with the teachers first
