Do babies really wear booties?
My baby is due at the beginning of june and i am ordering from babymallonline.com (AMAZING DEALS) and I wanted to know if it was worthwhile to buy booties for my little boy? Do they wear them or are they just for show? Should I just buy him socks for the summer and sandals?

I was told to not put shoes on DS until he's walking because the unflexible soles inhibit foot muscle development

I used to put booties on Kristina.... at other times I would put socks..... Just something to keep her feet warm b/c I had the central a/c running, KWIM?

I had DD on 6/20 and there was no need for baby booties. Maybe a few pairs of light socks. In the late fall/early winter I got her some of those Robeez type slipper shoes from Target and a pair of fake Uggs so her feet wouldn't be cold in just socks when we went out. Forget those no scratch mittens too. They're a waste. Just have a few things where the shirt sleeves fold over the hands for the early days.

my summer babies were mostly barefoot unless I was dressing them for an occasion.

The booties didnt fit DS's feet. They were too big or too small. He wore socks until he learned to walk.
