I didn't when we threw my DH's because we rented out a bar for the party and it just didn't seem necessary.

I just had a Casino party for DH.....I gave a deck of cards and chocolate poker chips in a gift bag.......... Everyone loved them

I think they are a nice touch but not necessary. If you want to do something easy though, you could make 30th birthday lollipops

my friend did for her DH - she got shotglasses that said "tommy's 30th birthday" and put each in a little bag with a nip of smirnoff. perfect little gift!

For one of my crazier friends (Ricky), the host who threw the party made up these photoshopped picture cards of Ricky and another mutual friend (Mike) in a compromising position! It was an internal joke and everyone LOVED them. They became a real collectors item within the group. We still LOL over them!

depends on where you have it- my parents threw me a huge 30 th at a hall so they did favors
it was a 70's theme party- all guests had to dress up- there were contests too it was so much fun.
the favors were pychodelic candles wrapped in tulle

I agree. If you have extra money or enjoy making favors go for it. If not, don't worry about it. No one will be expecting them.

did for my sister's party, but not for my DH's. My sister's party was more for family (older crowd) and my DH's was more friends (younger crowd)

I had DH's 30th at a bowling alley with all our friends, so I had bowling pin and ball cookies made for a favor. Very inexpensive!
