Do I need to refrigerate frosted cupcakes?
I'm making funfetti cupakes with a homemade buttercream frosting (basically butter, powdered sugar water or milk and vanilla). I'm making them Thursday night and bringing them to DS's school Frday morning. Do I frost the cupcakes and refrigerate them? I don't want to do it in the morning, it'll be too hectic. Is it necessary to refrigerate? Oh also, I'll be putting a scooby snack (bone shaped graham cracker on top of the icing.) WWYD?

yes you have to put them in the fridge
make them up thurs night n throw them in there, (they r cute by the way)

Not necessary. I leave my butter out on the counter all the time. It's only overnight. And there's so little milk in it anyway.

I don't refrigerate my cupcakes if it's just overnight. I just keep them in my cupcake carrier ready to go for the next morning.
