I'm just wondering b/c we didn't find out gender with DC#1 so the nursery is gender neutral so we don't have to but it seems like from reading the boards that most people do

I'm redoing mine, regardless of whether it is a boy or a girl. (And I don't care what DH says about it!! Chat Icon )

if we have another boy next, Landon will move into a new room and we will leave his nursery as is for the next baby. If a girl comes next, Landon will stay put and the new baby will get the new room. At least that is our plan now, because I love Landon;s room so much!

Yes we did with all 3! It was probably a waste of money, but when I look at pictures I am so happy we did!Chat Icon

I am old school, and the boys will share the nursery.

It is gender neutral and G's toddler bed matches the crib, so it looks like a set.

We are building a new playroom for them, and that will be newly built & decorated.

We had a separate room...we painted it sage in the beginning, and when I found out it was a girl I added a lavender racing stripe and fairies to the walls...

Our nursery is gender-neutral and when #2 was on the way, we moved DD into her own room and decorated it "big-girl" style. DD#2 used the nursery. If and when we have another, that child will use the nursery and DDs will share a room.

I plan on keeping DD in her room and just getting her big-girl furniture when we are ready for #2. New baby will get a new room (and DD's nursery furniture)

If and when DC #2 comes along we'll probably only redo the nursery if we have a boy.

Then again, if if DC #2 is a boy we'll have to move because we only have a 2 bedroom apartment at the moment.

Re: Do most of you re-do your nursery for your second baby?

Our boys are sharing a room... I really wanted to re-do the entire room and buy new crib bedding, as well as bedding for DS#1 BUT the more I think about it, the more I realize its a waste of money for us...

I dont put the bumpers in the crib... and we never "used" the quilt that goes with the bedding... so other then the mobile and decorations... it isnt a necessity...

My son's bedding is less then 2yrs old, and since he didnt even sleep in his bed until this summer- its practically brand new...AND both beddings match...

I have decided to let it be... (unless I come across something I LOVE LOVE LOVE and hit a great sale) and when we buy a house- completly re-do the room/theme...
