Do non-hideous water shoes exist?
When I was younger, I'd wear my teva sandals @ the beach and in the water. Teva was pretty awesome in the 90s, but now - ehhh- not so much.
any suggestions? We're considering a beach trip with the baby this summer  - i need something I can wear from the ship to the beach, in the water, etc.

how about crocs? I know my friend wears them as her water shoes - i personally count them as hideous BUT I know they have some cute Mary Jane styles out there that could work.
I still wear the black and blue fabric ones with the rubber bottoms, $5 at the flea market  and just try to keep my feet under water as much as possible!

I have black ones that aren't tooooo terrible - they aren't fashionable, but they aren't ugly either.

I've never seen non-hideous water shoes. Then again, it's all relative because I've also never seen awesome Teva's. lol.

I don't know what you consider hideous, but Land's End has sneaker & mary jane looking ones.

Vibram five fingers are pretty popular. They make a shoe that goes in water. That's what I would get if I had to buy a water shoe.

Check out Chacos or Keens - some are fairly decent looking and they are great for land or water.
