Yes!! My problem is I say it to people I see during the day and after i say it feel embarrassed because I am not really sure if they celebrate it and hope I did not insult them.

Actually Jehovah's Witness do not celebrate Easter in the way that we think of Easter. They mark and commemorate the last supper and the resurecction, and only observe the religious aspect. They don't even call it Easter.
They reject any part of Easter that has to do with Easter baskets, eggs or bunnies.
Bottom line is you would not say "Happy Easter" to someone who is Jehovah's Witness.

For crying out loud... that's crazy! what other holiday was today!! I mean yes, Purim was Friday, but it's pretty clear that the only holiday today was Easter. In that case, I don't think I would have said anything at all as you don't know if people are Christian or not, or celbrate it anyway and it's not like there is something else going on today..
