Do sick babies get shots?
Megan goes for her 4 month checkup this afterrnoon...she has a really bad cold...this means she wont get her shots right? When will she get them now...will it set her back?

most likely they won't - depends on how sick or what the shot is. Shouldn't set her back bad. My dr said just calls when they are better and schedule a shot visit. They will let you know if they need it by a certain time period or how far before the next round they need to get certain shots.

When DS had a cold the doctor still gave him a shot. As long as they don't have a fever.

same here. Dr. Superhero,(Dr. Cavanagh) said if we waited for babies to be perfectly healthy they'd never get their shots.

DD was sick at her last visit, so we're going to bring her in during DSs visit (about 2 weeks later) to get the shots. The scheduling worked out nice, and Ped didn't want to give shots when she was sick, since it might give her a fever, and with a weakend immune system from the cold, might make it worse.
I'm sure it all depends on the Ped, the illness, etc.
