do the bottom of your feet hurt?
For the past couple of days/week the bottom of my feet have been hurting. They're not neccesarily swollen, but the bottom pads feel sore- almost like they're bruised. Anyone else have this feeling? I'm 29w3d.

Hmm...I've never personally experienced this or heard of it happening, so I'm not sure. Is it really bothering you? If so, I'd give your dr. a call.

I asked my Dr. about it last week, but she always acts like everything's fine- she tends to downplay anything unusual I may feel.

Re: do the bottom of your feet hurt?
Mine hurt all the time, but I think it is because I've been wearing flimsy flip flops this summer because that is the only thing my feet can squeeze into lately and they are just not a great support.

My feet don't burn, they actually hurt. It feels like I'm walking on bruises.

Re: do the bottom of your feet hurt?
Not the bottom of my feet but the arches of my feet hurt really bad. I had to put inserts in my shoes, it helps.

I mostly wear my Reefs (flip-flops.) I have the summer off, so I'll only wear heels occasionally when I go out.

Re: do the bottom of your feet hurt?
My feet have gotten a little swollen about three times. I asked my Dr. and he said that it's fine and not worry about it as long as they do not hurt. If I'd like when they are a bit swollen, to put my feet up. But he said that if my feet were to hurt , there might be some causes for concern and to contact him immediately. You should contact your doctor.

Re: do the bottom of your feet hurt?
I do get that. It depends on how much I'm on my feet, but I've been attributing my sore feet to the awful floors in our apt. There is thin carpet and thin padding on top of concrete. I try to wear my shoes when I'm in the apt. now and it helps. Maybe it is partially related to being pg too.

My Dr. told me that it was nothing to worry about, especially since they're not swollen. She said to call her if they started to swell or if I saw any lumos because that could be a sign of a blood clot.

Re: do the bottom of your feet hurt?
In the morning when I first get out of bed and walk across the room they kill. It's almost like I jumped from a 5 story building and landed on them. Is that what you mean? That's the only time they hurt me.

Re: do the bottom of your feet hurt?
That's exactly what I mean!!! But the thing is, the feeling lasts all day long. Today they actually hurt a little less than they have for the past week. Maybe it was a passing thing.

Re: do the bottom of your feet hurt?
Ouch!!!! That really hurts! Maybe that's because you're on your feet all day? Probably just the increase of blood flow. Maybe try icing them when you're not on them during the day.

Re: do the bottom of your feet hurt?
I get this too - but ususally only if I am standing all day. We had a BBQ a few weeks ago and by the end, it felt like someone had smashed all the bones in my feet - I could barely walk!
By the next day they were better though.

Re: do the bottom of your feet hurt?
I just read that plantar fasciitis can be a cause for the foot pain we are talking about. I think its a strong possibility that its it. Because although my feet hurt all day, it also hurts more in the morning.
Here is an article about it.
