the parenting board?



I can honestly say I have never ever clicked on that board. I do like to post on FHF, Relationships, Fashion, and Celebrities.

I check it out once in a while...I love looking at the pics. Halloween pictures has to be my absolute favorite!


eta..I also check out some of the gift threads for ideas for my niece and my nephew.

Nope, I'm afraid of what I'll read over there. Might turn me off kids entirely!

ETA: But now I'm curious! I did peek on TTC but I didn't understand most of what they were saying. lol! They have so many acronyms!

im never over there unless i come across some type of news that concerns parents/kids that i think is worth sharing...

ie toy recalls, etc...

Not usually, but I have been lurking on parents of school aged children, since it is new & I was curious about it. It never occured to me that they would need/want their own board.

Its actually kind of amusing--school aged kids can be funny!

Mostly I'm on fashion, home, and celebs.

Parenting is probably the only board i have never posted on... i have lurked once or twice...

Like Heather tho, i will post on any board if there is a thread that i feel the need to contribute to

i don't think i've ever posted on there... but i've checked a post out here or there, mostly bc one of my friends posts there frequently and she may tell me about some drama i'd find interesting
i post on relationships & home the most but i also post on fashion, celebs, pets, and occasionally, diet & fitness, storyboard, travel and i lurk on recipes.

Nope. I have no interest. Nothing there pertains to me.

I think I have posted there once or twice asking for gift suggestions for nieces and nephews -- and only after posting on NFR and being told to x-post on Parenting.

I always lurked and posted on there a bunch of times. One reason is that I have a lot of mom friends on that board and sometimes would respond to things they posted.

Other times I just see something I feel I can respond to, and do so.

I lurk. Primarily b/c I'm a preschool psychologist and love reading parental views on development, discipline, etc. I also am not CF by choice, and am hoping to have kids one day.

I have never posted on that board, but I do read it. I find it interesting & think I could learn something if we decide to have kids at some point.

i have real life friends on there and i go on that board to see how their little ones are doing

also, i am so so curious about what it's like to be a parent. i don't know if i'll ever want to be a mom or have the opportunity, but i have learned A LOT from reading threads on there.

Just because I'm CF doesn't mean that I don't like kids.

I see what's going on with the children of some of the ladies I "know" from LIW, and also IRL. I enjoy looking at the pictures of the kids.

I don't post there because it is not my place to.

I lurk over there sometimes. I like to read the posts in preperation to one day have a child. I also have a lot of friends with chrildren & 2 nieces & a nephew so I can sometimes give some helpful info.

I don't just lurk, I post on it and pregnancy too.
A lot of the girls that got married the same year as me on LIW have had babies or are having babies so I like to see what's going on with their kiddies since that's where they mostly post!

I do. I started lurking on Pregnancy and Parenting when Superkat got pregnant because I wanted to keep up on my friend.

I posted once or twice, issues or questions about my nieces and nephews.

Picture threads are great, like the most recent one of kids in their Halloween costumes. Friggin adorable.

Now that my friends are having kids, I just like being "up" on current things or issues too.

I just recently started lurking. I posted 2 things before - one about a stroller recall (which for whatever reason never got posted as something important) and another asking about having grandparents friends at a child's first bday (which got 3 responses) which to me I found odd because my grandparents friends were NEVER at my bday parties.
