Do twin parents feel more stressed than parents of singletons?

I am going to answer YES! I feel like all my singleton mom friends are so laid back & relaxed and I worry about everything and anything, but that could just be my personality.

I always felt like a single parent to one kid. There was no handing off the child to you DH, since either he already had one or there was the other that needed you. I was needed all the time. It does get easier when they are older since they play with each other and don't you need to play wiht them all the time. THere were even times that they wouldn't play with me, they preferred thier borther, LOL.
I also know that one thing that stressed me out was how to treat them equally and I wanted to make sure everyone else treated them that way. I owrry about them not having thier own idetity, stuff that non twin paretns don't even have to think about.

I think Yes...BUT I think that is true when a parent has a single baby and I had two babies. Now that the boys are older and a friends of mine have had a second baby I think they have more stress then I do now.
An example is just to go out to the store. My friends who had one baby would take them, put them in the cart and shop. I could not do that and often had to find someone to watch them so I could get things done.
It is much easier now for me because they play with each other and the stress level is definatly less.
However I think parenthood is a stressful job no matter what!

I say YES. . .my twins are 8 weeks old and I have no down time. One sleeps during the night and the other doesn't. It is so hard. I am hoping it gets easier soon b/c I am so overwhelmed.

As a parent of a singleton who had twins with the second pregnancy ..I say YES!
It's hard but you get through and take any help you can get!
