do we give gifts after christening???
(I feel silly asking this)we are having a christening in April, about 40 people, my MIL thinks we should get christening favors .
1.do we really have to?
2. do we give them to everyone or just the godparents???
3. what do we get ??
I have never done this before so I don't know. I feel like it's just too much. we are spending so much money as it is.

We gave favors at the Christening.
It was in the fall, so I made caramel apples, wrapped them in celophane with pink ribbon, attached a tag that thanked people and handed them out as people left.

I was thinking of doing little pants, i dont know, i feel the same as you...nooone even likes favors...im not sre what to d o as far as Godparents though...

We did these in pink for 1st christening. My 2nd DD we did a different frame and chocolate crosses (a's godmother made them).
Both christenings we got the godparents a special frame with a poem and pic in it from personalization mall.com

I don't think you need to do favors - they are nice but I don't think expected. We didn't give the godparents a gift (DH's brother and SIL) - but only b.c they didn't give DH something when he was a godparent to their DD. You could always give a nice picture frame and a photo of their godchild.
We did cookie favors -
